How to use the Access user interface

00:08

When you select a folder on the assets tab as an admin,

00:11

the access icon becomes available on your righthand side.

00:15

This feature allows you to view who has access to the folder in question,

00:19

as well as perform some of the same admin features

00:22

that can be found in the managed teams panel.

00:25

In other words,

00:26

you can think of the access panel as a scaled down version of the managed

00:30

teams panel, which you can use quickly

00:32

and conveniently without needing to navigate away.

00:35

When you click open this panel,

00:37

you'll notice that it has two tabs at the top: participants

00:41

and teams.

00:43

We'll look at the participants tab first.

00:46

The participants tab is divided into three sections: folder access,

00:51

team access, and playlink only. Folder access displays all users who were added to

00:57

the folder individually as well as the permissions that they have on that folder.

01:01

The team access section shows all users who are added as part of the team.

01:06

And the playlink only section lists all users

01:09

who have received a playlink from this folder.

01:12

Clicking on the teams tab at the top,

01:14

you can see all of the teams that have been added to this folder.

01:17

By clicking the arrow next to the team name,

01:20

you can also see all users who are members of that team.

01:24

As you can see the access panel gives you a quick view

01:27

of the users and teams who have access to this folder.

01:30

For more on the functionality available within the access panel,

01:33

please review the tutorial on adding, removing or changing permissions.
