Understand user-provided SDR

Any time you upload an HDR asset,

the platform will automatically transcode an SDR proxy.

This will ensure that anyone who has access to view the asset who

isn't in an HDR enabled environment will still be able to view it.

if you prefer that viewers don't have access to our automatically generated SDR

version and instead have your own SDR file to accompany the HDR asset,

you have the option to set this on a folder by folder basis.

To customize this setting,

start by selecting the folder you wish to modify on the left,

then click on the asset options icon located on the right hand side.

At the top, you'll find a drop down menu under dynamic range playback settings.

By default, it's set to allow all playback,

but if you like, you can switch it to HDR and user provided SDR.
