Rule types

There are two types of formatting rules in Flow Production Tracking: page rules and global rules.

  • Page rules are page-specific. They will only apply to the page they are created on.
  • Global rules are applied on all pages on all projects across a Flow Production Tracking site. This is useful for standardization.

There are two default global rules that come pre-packaged with Flow Production Tracking:

  • Global row rule on People that sets the background color grey if the Person's status is Disabled.
  • Global row rule on Tasks that colors all text blue if the Milestone field is checked.

Rules are always associated with a specific entity.

Rule hierarchy

When there are multiple rules, the page evaluates rules in a specific order. The top rule is always prioritized.

If a global rule conflicts with a page-specific rule, the page-specific rule always wins.

Note: When copying pages, all the page-specific formatting also gets copied over.
