To create a new project, on the Application bar, click Show Data Panel.

In the Data Panel, you will see a list of projects.

If you currently have a project open, click the Home icon next to its name to return to the project list.

Then, click New Project.

Type a name for the project, and then press Enter.

The created project is now added to the list and highlighted.

Double-click it, and you can now upload data, save data, and invite others to collaborate with you on the project.

Next, bring in a few designs to be used in a future assembly.

Click Upload, and if you have those designs open in another Explorer window, you can simply drag them into the area on the right.

Alternatively, you can click Select Files, and then select the designs that you want to upload.

This could include data from Fusion, other CAD tools, or non-CAD file formats, like PDF and images.

Fusion is very flexible with data types.

Expand the file types list to view the data formats that the Fusion Upload tool supports.

Once you have selected the files, click Open, and then Upload.

The loading process begins.

With the Data Panel still open, you see the progress at the bottom.

While in this case, the designs being uploaded are Fusion archive files,

which are compact, how long this takes will depend on file sizes and your upload speed.

Once the designs have been uploaded, simply double-click the design in the Data Panel to open it.

Then, Close the Data Panel.

As an alternative to uploading a file, you can also open a design in Fusion using the Open file tool.

From the File menu, select Open.

In the Open dialog, select Open from my computer, and then select the design that you want to open.
