Label pipe networks

Create and edit pipe label styles.

Now we're going to create a new pipe label style

in the settings. Tab, expand the pipe label stars

and expand to plan profile.

Select the length description and slope label style,

right click and choose copy

in the label style composer. On the information page,

change the name to size, slope length,

go to the layout tab

and in the text contents field, open the text component editor

and delete all of the text in the component editor

type percent percent C in the editor to place a diameter symbol.

And then from the property's pull down list, choose pipe inner diameter or width,

set the precision to one

and then click on the arrow to place it in the editor.

Use the double quotes to show the inch symbol and enter a space.

Then from the property's pull down list, choose pipe slope,

leave the format as

and set the precision

to 0.1.

Use the arrow to place the value in the editor.

Enter a space after the value. And then from the property's port,

set the units to feet

type the feet symbol after the value and click. OK.

Now we'll add some labels to our network

from the annotate ribbon tab on the labels and tables panel,

then pipe network

then add pipe network labels

in the ad labels, dialogue. You can label the entire network in plan

or you can label a single part in plan profile or section.

The spanning labels will label the two parts of a split pipe with a single label

set, the label type to entire network plan,

set the pipe label style to your new style size, slope length

and set the structure label style to data with connected pipes. Storm

click add and then pick any network part in the drawing

labels will be added to the entire network.

You can use the label grips to drag the labels to sensible positions.
