Add text and notes to a drawing in Fusion.

In this activity, you will add text and notes to the drawing.

Prerequisites

  • If you've not completed "Add dimensions", download and open main-pump-body-drawing-activity-4.f3z to continue.

Steps-by-step:

  1. Create a General Note for the drawing.

    1. Select the Note command.
    2. Under the Section View, click the pointer.
    3. Drag down and to the right to create a text box, when you get to a good size click again to start the Note.
    4. Add the following text to the Note:
      GENERAL NOTES
      REMOVE ALL BURRS AND SHARP EDGES
      ALL FILLETS AND ROUNDS R6 UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED
  2. Add hole notes.

    1. Select the Notes command.
    2. Select the top-left hole in the Projected View.
    3. Pull the pointer away from the hole to see the preview of the hole note.
    4. Click to place the hole note.
    5. Repeat the last three steps for Section View B-B and Detail View holes.
  3. Add a note.

    1. With the Notes command still active, click the radius next to the hole in the Detail View.
    2. Move the pointer up and to the right and click to place the Note.
    3. Add the following text to the note:
      CHECK FOR A MINIMUM THICKNESS OF 2MM
