Export a template for use in multiple projects in ReCap Pro

Export a template from one project and use it in another project without having to recreate it.

As part of the Feature Extraction tools in the ReCap Viewer, you can import and export a feature template schema.

These templates apply geometry, tag definitions, and properties defined by their schema, and can be useful to save and share between projects.

To export a feature template schema, in the ReCap Viewer, from the Contextual tile menu, click Feature Extraction.

In the Feature Template browser, expand Import/Export Schema and select Export feature templates.

In the dialog, add a Title for your template.

Next, choose a file location for the export.

You can click the arrow to export to a local file location, or click the file folder icon to export to your ACC or BIM storage location.

Once the location is selected, click Export.

The process to import a feature template schema is similar.

From the Import/Export Schema drop-down, select Import feature templates.

In the dialog, choose the file location and select the template to import.

Once selected, the dialog displays a Template preview.

Click Import.

If a set of feature templates already exists for the project, a warning message appears stating that the import will overwrite the current contents.

Click Import again to complete the import.
