Placing and splitting a room schedule on to sheets

Edit and place room schedules on sheets.

00:03

So now that we have the schedule organized,

00:06

we need to place it onto a sheet.

00:08

And as it's quite a long schedule, it won't actually fit onto one sheet

00:12

and looking at the project browser here,

00:13

we can see that we actually have three sheets created.

00:16

So

00:16

room schedule 0102 and 03.

00:20

And we will split the schedule across these sheets.

00:23

So we'll go up to the modified schedules and

00:25

quantities ri here and from the split panel,

00:27

we'll click split and place.

00:30

So now we need to select those three sheets to split the schedule across

00:34

and looking at the height on sheet panel here, we can see it's set to split evenly.

00:39

So I click split in place

00:42

and now we can see it's opened up the room schedule 01 sheet here.

00:46

And we need to place the schedule onto the sheet

00:49

and this will set the location for the other sheets as well.

00:53

So place it in the center of this sheet.

00:56

And now

00:56

going back to the project browser here, if I expand out the schedules group

01:01

and then expand out the room schedule,

01:03

we can see that we now have those split schedules.

01:06

So one of 32 or three and three of three

01:09

and that their sheet placement icons are

01:11

showing that they've all been placed on sheets

01:14

and looking at the sheets below. If we expand those out,

01:16

we can see that each one of those schedules is placed onto a corresponding sheet.

01:21

So let's open up the other two sheet views

01:25

and we can see that that schedule has been placed in the similar location on both

01:31

and we'll tile the views so that we can see all three schedules at once.

01:34

But first, I'll close down the room schedule view

01:38

and then the floor three layout view.

01:40

And now I'll go to the windows panel on the view ribbon tab here and click tile views

01:46

on the navigation bar here. I'll click zoom all to fit so we can see all three views.

01:51

Now, I'll zoom into the 01 room schedule here.

01:57

And if I select it,

01:58

we can see that we have the controls for the column width here.

02:01

So I'll drag the name column wider so that it doesn't split across two lines.

02:06

And then when we finish,

02:07

we can see that that also updates on the other two sheets as well.

02:11

Now, I would like to split the schedule so that each level is on its own sheets

02:16

and we can see here that on the first sheet

02:18

that we have some floor three at the bottom here.

02:21

So with that schedule selected,

02:24

we'll use the drag control at the bottom here and we'll drag this up.

02:27

So that floor three is no longer visible.

02:33

And we can see that this will then get added onto the schedule two view just here

02:38

and zooming into this view.

02:40

We can see that we don't quite have all of floor three on here.

02:44

So we'll select the schedule in this view and then using the drag controls,

02:48

we can drag that down.

02:49

So that includes all the floor three.

02:53

So now that's a little bit low on the sheet, we need to reposition it.

02:57

So we'll select it again

02:58

and then

02:59

we can use the arrow keys on the keyboard

03:02

to nudge it up slightly.

03:04

And that now fits perfectly on the sheet

03:06

and looking at the room schedule 03 view here,

03:09

we can see that that now has just floor four on here

03:12

and it also displays the grand totals at the bottom of that sheet.

03:17

So I click zoom all to fit once more.

03:19

And now that we have that schedule split and placed across the three sheets here

03:23

that finishes creating the room schedule.
