How to utilize the Autosize tool to define the mesh automatically in an electronics enclosure model.
Type:
Tutorial
Length:
1 min.
Transcript
00:03
To prepare for running a simulation in Autodesk CFD, you must specify the physical characteristics of the model.
00:11
This includes defining the mesh sizing, which can be done automatically.
00:16
In this example, mesh sizing is defined for an electronics enclosure model.
00:21
First, on the ribbon, in the Setup tab, Setup Tasks panel, click Mesh Sizing.
00:28
Then, in the Automatic Sizing context panel, click Autosize.
00:33
The final step is to verify that the mesh is properly defined.
00:38
You should see blue dots along every edge of the model, as in this example.
00:43
These dots provide a simple preview of the mesh distribution.
00:47
Once all boundary conditions—including mesh sizing—are defined in your model, you are ready to start the flow simulation.
