Create a printed circuit board design with connectors, transistors, voltage regulator, and an LED.


Module overview

In this project, a customer has asked your company to redesign a printed circuit board to utilize surface mounted components and the required PCB size. They have provided an original design whose functionally meets their initial requirements. They would like to maintain the design intent while utilizing lower profile components and a circuit board with four 3mm mounting holes driven by a Fusion sketch.

After completing this project, you’ll be able to: 

  • Review design criteria.
  • Plan an electronic circuit.
  • Create a 2D schematic.
  • Create a 2D PCB layout.
  • Create a Fusion sketch to define a PCB shape.
  • Generate a quote for manufacture of 10 boards.
  • Produce a bill of materials for all components.
