Set up a backup code for your Autodesk account.

If you lose access to your e-mail, you can use a backup code.

To set up a backup code, sign in to access your product.

In this example, AutoCAD Web is used.

First, in the Sign in dialog, enter your e-mail address.

Click Next, and then enter your password associated with this e-mail address.

Click Sign In.

If you have not set up 2-step verification with SMS or an authenticator app, Autodesk will send a one-time password (OTP) to your e-mail.

Retrieve the code and enter it to complete your sign-in.

An option displays to skip verification codes the next time you sign in.

Use this option for trusted devices to bypass entering an OTP every time.

However, if you are using a shared computer, it is recommended that you choose not to trust this device.

At this point in the sign-in process, without an active backup code, Autodesk automatically generates one for you.
