Frequently asked questions

Yes, with Inventor’s new model state feature, a designer can check-in all model representations inside Vault for easy access. Also, each model state is recorded in the Vault item master for more efficient BOM variant management with the appropriate part number and metadata.

The audit log on the server already tracked file downloads and deletions by a user. In the Vault 2022 release, we have added more information to the audit logs. The Audit log will record the user, date\time, and which Vault a user logged into. It will also record which client and authentication type used.

In Vault 2022, we’ve added ‘Latest Approver’ and ‘Latest Released Date’ properties to track this information.  These property values can be added to drawing revision tables and title blocks for historical recorded keeping.
