Description
In this session, we’ll explore how using best practices, standardized designs, and BIM (Building Information Modeling) technologies can move modular design and manufacturing to the point where automation makes sense. We’ll also cover how we’ve been able to overcome the disconnect between traditional architecture and manufacturing. Learn how we’ve used Revit software, StrucSoft Solutions, Navisworks software, and virtual reality (VR) to increase our ability to move beyond physical prototyping for design lock, and how it greatly improves the manufacturing outcome.
Key Learnings
- Learn how to describe the foundational requirements of modular design to your colleagues
- Learn how to develop a plan for implementing best practices in your firm
- Understand how standardized design benefits modular manufacturing
- Learn how to create a plan for using BIM and VR technologies to obtain design lock prior to construction
