When plotting an autocad
00:05
or setting up paper space layouts,
00:07
there is a wide variety of parameters to consider the output device, the paper size,
00:12
the plot style, the scale et cetera.
00:15
Through the use of page setups, these parameters can be saved recalled and shared.
00:22
After completing this video, you'll be able to
00:25
create and apply page setups
00:27
over the course of a project.
00:29
You may use multiple plot configurations and need
00:31
to share these parameters across multiple drawings.
00:34
And with other users,
00:36
these plot configurations can be saved by name as a paid setup.
00:40
This saves time creates consistency and reduces errors when plotting,
00:44
they can also be applied to paper space layouts to
00:47
even provide a real time preview of the plotted output.
00:51
Open the Kennedy residence plans drawing provided in the data set
00:55
to make it easier to follow along. Let's verify a few display settings.
00:59
Click the application icon in the top left corner of your screen and choose options.
01:04
Click the display tab in the layout elements, area, check the display paper,

there is no page setup associated with this collection of plot
01:50
parameters to save these parameters for use later click add and type
01:57
PDF monochrome click. OK.
02:01
Now that we've created a page set up,
02:02

02:06
then cancel the plot command just to
02:09
