How to create and edit your Teams

00:09

If you're an admin on a production,

00:11

you can use the managed teams panel to create and edit new teams to suit your needs.

00:16

Note that teams can be created for you to add multiple

00:18

users to a folder or a production in bulk more efficiently,

00:22

and they can also be used as distribution lists when sending playlinks.

00:27

To create a team, simply click the new team button in the team's column.

00:32

In the pop up dialogue that appears, you'll be asked to give the team a name,

00:36

which can be anything you like.

00:41

Note that you may also be asked whether this team

00:43

is a production wide team or a company wide team,

00:47

but only if you happen to be a company level.

00:50

Most admins who use Flow Capture are production admins,

00:53

so you'll likely only see production as an option.

01:00

When creating a team,

01:01

you'll also be asked to provide the default permission set for that team.

01:07

Whenever you assign that team to a folder,

01:09

all members on that team will be granted

01:12

that permission set for the folder in question.

01:14

So it's important to keep track of this default permission set.

01:18

We always recommend

01:19

that when you create a new team,

01:21

you include the default permission set in the team name itself,

01:24

so that it's easy to remember when you're assigning your teams.

01:32

Lastly, you'll also be given the option to apply a color to that team,

01:37

if you

01:37

wish.

01:40

When creating a team,

01:41

if you happen to have a contact selected in the contacts column,

01:45

they will automatically be added to that team upon creation.

01:50

You'll also be able to see how many members are on

01:52

that team as it will be listed below the team.

01:54

Once a team

01:59

has been created, you can edit the name,

02:02

color, or default permission set by clicking the edit team button

02:07

with that team selected.

02:10

It's important to note that if you change the default permission set for a team

02:15

for any folders that that team has been assigned to,

02:18

the user permissions for the team members will

02:20

be updated to reflect that new permission.
