This is a practice exercise video solution.

00:07

For this practice, we're going to create an NC program and a setup sheet.

00:11

To get started, we want to go to our Setup drop-down and select Create NC Program.

00:17

We're going to be using the program number of 1002 and this is going to be an FSAE Rim Type2.

00:25

We're going to be using the same Haas and this is the next gen control that we used in our course and all the rest of the settings will be as default.

00:34

We're going to grab the entire Setup1 which includes the adaptive clearing, patterned operations for scallop, pencil and bore as well as a 2D contour.

00:44

As we select these, you can see the order of operations that happens in the right hand side.

00:48

The adaptive, all the scallop operations, all the pencils and all the bores.

00:54

It's organized like this because of the order we created our pattern in.

00:58

It’s keeping the tool changes minimum, so we can say OK.

01:02

Now that our NC program is created, we can right click and post process to create the code and we can also create a setup sheet.

01:10

So we want to make sure that we used post process to create our code and then we want to go into setup sheet and create a new setup sheet.

01:18

This will still be 1002 for the number and we want to determine what information we want contained within our setup sheet.

01:25

In this case, we'll use detailed and this is automatically saved in our Data panel, but we can also print this out.

01:32

No saves are needed inside of the program.

01:34

Once this is automatically saved into our Data panel, we can simply close that and make sure that any changes have been updated.
