People Flow Toolkit integration for movement simulation

Module overview

In this module, you will use Revit’s People Flow Toolkit to generate safe travel paths through a medical center. The People Flow Toolkit is a technology preview for Revit 2020 and Revit 2021. The Toolkit extends the capabilities of Revit’s Path of Travel tool and provides new features to help you better visualize and analyze paths of travel through your building. 

This module will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. By the end of this module, you should be able to:  

  • Describe the People Flow Toolkit and explain the new tools it provides
  • Demonstrate how to create multiple paths of travel through a building
  • Create a realistic simulation of movement through a building by indicating direction of travel and placing people objects
  • Analyze multiple paths and determine which path is optimal. 

Module pre-requisites

This module requires user-level knowledge of Revit and is focused on best practices and its industry applications. If you don't have experiences with this product, we recommend you to take foundational training using one of the resources below:
