Dynamo for Civil 3D– Packages inside Dynamo
Task 2: Installing and Uninstalling Packages
For this exercise, we will be installing from within the Dynamo interface. There are no datasets to
accompany this task.
To install a searched package from the Online Package Search dialogue box;
1. Click Install. You can also choose to “Install this version to folder” by clicking on the icon.
Dynamo is updated with every version of the Civil 3D application. If the third-party package was created
on the newer version and you try to access from a previous version, you will get a notification about
versioning.

It is recommended to only install packages that match the version of Dynamo and Civil 3D.
If a developer has updated the package, you must first uninstall the previous version. On the Dynamo
Menu;
2. Packages > Manage Packages
3. Left-Click the ellipses on the right
4. Click Uninstall
Note: Dynamo will give you an alert that Dynamo and the host application must restart before
uninstalling takes effect.
5. Click OK
6. Click Yes
7. Close Dynamo and Civil 3D
8. Open Civil 3D
