As a civil engineer, you can use Autodesk InfraWorks to help you conceptually design models in context.
00:10
You can share your presentations with collaborators by uploading your InfraWorks models to an Autodesk Docs project.
00:18
In this example, you create a snapshot—
00:21
a rendered image of the current view that is saved at the resolution and location that you specify.
00:27
In InfraWorks, zoom and pan to the desired view of the model.
00:32
From the Manage tab, in the Model panel, select Model Explorer.
00:37
In the Model Explorer, you can choose which feature classes to display or hide.
00:42
Only those displayed are included in the snapshot.
00:46
You can also specify the visual effects that you want to apply to the view before saving the snapshot image.
00:53
For example: From the Toolbar, click Application Options, then select 3D Graphics.
00:59
From here, you can specify graphics options, such as water reflections and shadows.
01:06
Select Model Generation.
01:09
Set options such as building facade detail, facade brightness, and pre-computed ambient occlusion for shadow effects.
01:18
From the Manage tab, in the Display panel, select Sun & Sky.
01:24
Set sun and sky settings for shadow accuracy.
01:30
Use the Visualization tab on the View Settings panel to control a range of visual and lighting effects,
01:37
such as exposure and rendering options.
01:40
Navigate to any point within the model that you wish to create a snapshot of.
01:45
Pan, zoom, and position your screen to the view you want to capture.
01:50
Once you have the desired view, from the Present/Share tab, expand the Present panel and select Create Snapshot.
01:60
Specify the file name and save location, as well as the resolution and aspect ratio.
02:06
Click Save.
