Transcript
00:04
You can control some aspects of the appearance of single line text.
00:08
Although the options available are more limited
00:11
than when working with multi line text,
00:13
you can adjust the text appearance while you
00:15
are initially creating the text or edit it.
00:18
After it has been created
00:21
to edit a single line text object. Double click that object.
00:25
Remember that each line of single line text
00:28
is an individual single line text object,
00:32
double click, the first line of text to start the text, edit command,
00:37
you can now edit the text content,
00:40
move the text cursor to the start of the line of text

and then press the delete key to eliminate the word standard.
00:49
Although there is no contextual ribbon. When editing single line text,
00:53
you can modify some aspects of the text.

For example, to underline the first line of text
01:01

01:05
type percent percent. U
01:09
As soon as you do, the entire line of text becomes underlined
01:14
to underline just a portion of the text such as the word must in the second note,
01:21
double click that single line text object,
01:24
then
01:25
place the text cursor before the start of the word must
01:30
and type percent percent U
01:32
to indicate the start of the underlining.
01:36
Initially, the rest of the entire single line, text object becomes underlined.
01:42
Move the text cursor immediately after the end of the word
01:46
and type percent present U again
01:49
to indicate where the underlining should stop.
01:51
Then
01:52
click in a blank area of the drawing to end the command.
01:58
When you type percent percent plus an additional character,
02:03
you are entering a control code.
02:05
While there are very few changes you can make
02:08
to individual words within a single line text object.
02:11
You can use control codes to enter special characters.
02:15
In addition to percent percent U to create underlined text,
02:20
you can type percent percent C to create a diameter dimensioning symbol.
02:25
Percent percent D
02:27
to create a degree symbol
02:29
and percent percent P
02:31
to create a plus
02:33
minus tolerance symbol.
