Looking at the layout, it's slightly off centered. So
00:08
we'll move the actual ceiling grid
00:10
to adjust the lighting layout.
00:12
So I'll select one of the vertical grid lines here and then from the modify ribbon,
00:16
we'll choose the move tool
00:19
and then we'll step to the grid line for the base point
00:22
and we need to move this across by 2 ft. So we'll type that in
00:26
as 2 ft is half a tile
00:28
and we can see that's now been centered in the room and
00:31
the the lights have also moved as they're hosted by the ceiling.
00:36
It's now panning across to the reception area.
00:39
We can see we have this circular inset ceiling
00:42
and we'll place the pendent light fitting on this ceiling.
00:45
So going back to the architecture ribbon tab from the build panel,
00:48
we'll choose to place a component again
00:51
from the type selector.
00:53
We'll type in lamp into the search box and then choose the standard pendant lamp type
01:00
looking at the place component ribbon at the top.
01:02
You can see we have placement options for a place on vertical face,
01:06
place on face and place on work playing.
01:10
It's currently set to place on face, which is correct in this instance.
01:14
So now going over the model,
01:15
we can see the preview of the light and it's
01:17
highlighting the face that it's going to connect to,
01:19
which is our inset ceiling,
01:22
we want to snap to the center of this.
01:25
So I'll use the keyboard shortcut to override the snaps.
01:28
So we'll type the letters sc on the keyboard.
01:31
And then as we move to the edge of the ceiling,
01:34
we can see it pick up the center of that circle
01:37
and we'll click to place that light in the center of the ceiling.
01:42
So now we have that placed, I'll click, modify to finish to place a component tool.
01:47
And now we need to move it to the edge of the ceiling.
01:50
So I'll select the light fit in and
01:51
from the modify ribbon tab, we'll choose the move tool
01:55
and then we'll click on a base point and move in vertically upwards.
01:58
We'll type in the distance of 4 ft
02:00
to move it to the edge of the ceiling.
02:03
Now we need to ervay the light fitting. So whilst it's still selected,
02:07
we can go to the modify ribbon tab again
02:09
and choose the array to
02:13
the connect the options bar will change it from linear to radio array.
02:19
We'll change the number from 3 to 8
02:23
and we'll change the move to setting back to second.
02:28
Now, going over the window,
02:29
we can see the center of the rotation is actually in the center of the
02:32
light fitting and we need this to be in the center of the ceiling.
02:37
So looking at the options bar, we have center of rotation and we'll click place
02:42
and now we can go and snap to the center of the ceiling.
02:45
So I'll type sc to override the snaps
02:48
and then we'll click on the edge to get the center of the ceiling.
02:52
So now we have the center of rotation there.
02:55
We'll start by clicking vertically upwards
02:57
and then going clockwise. We'll go around to 45 degrees
03:01
and then click to set that as the angle of the second.
03:04
And then we can see we have all eight light
03:06
fittings arrayed around the edge of the inset sealer.
03:11
So it's got those light fitting placed in the model.
03:14
We'll go and review these.
03:15
So from the project browser, we'll open up the section view section one
03:20
and then zooming into the fourth floor here,
03:22
we can see those pendant lights on that inset ceiling.
03:26
And if I select that inset ceiling now and from the property's pallet,
03:29
it will change the height offset from level parameter to 9 ft six.
03:34
And we can see that move down and the pendant lights follow it as it's hosted.
03:39
So I'll change it back to 10 ft and we'll see those move back up again.
03:44
Now we'll have a look at the 3D view.
03:46
So from the quick access toolbar, we'll click to open the default 3D view.
03:51
And this is also looking at the entire model at the moment.
03:54
However, zooming into the area of the conference room,
03:57
I can see we have a scope box here which is called conference rooms.
04:00
So
04:01
looking at the properties palette for the 3D view
04:04
on the extents panel, we have the uh parameter for scope box.
04:08
It's currently set to none. So we'll click and choose the conference room scope box
04:12
straight away. We can see that 3d view
04:15
being cropped to the scope box and we can see
04:17
in to see our lights hosted by the ceiling there.
04:22
So to demonstrate this again,
04:24
I'll select the ceiling in the conference room.
04:27
It will change its height or set from level up to 11 ft
04:31
and we can see that move up and the lights that are hosted follow it.
04:35
So I set it back to 9 ft and the lights will once again follow it
04:39
and that finishes placing the lights into our conference area.
00:05
Looking at the layout, it's slightly off centered. So
00:08
we'll move the actual ceiling grid
00:10
