When working in Autodesk Point Layout,

you can use the Connect Point Group tool to import location points from the field and connect them to AutoCAD linework.

With the project open, right-click in the model space and pick Point Layout > Import Points.

In the dialog that opens, click Select File to Import, then browse to and select the file containing the location points you want to use.
