Manage and navigate points in Point Layout for Navisworks

Manage, navigate, and delete points using several tools in Point Layout for Navisworks.

Point Layout provides several tools for managing points within Navisworks.

These include Manage Points, Navigate to Point, Select Points, and Delete Points.

With your model open in Navisworks, on the ribbon, select the Add-ins tab.

Then, click Autodesk Point Layout.

From the Point Layout dialog, click the Manage Points tool to open the Search Filter dialog, where you can filter a selection of points,

and then choose an option such as Hide, Show, or Select for those points.

In this case, use the filtering options under Description to select all control points in the project.

Click Apply, and the results appear in table format.

Select an option, such as Set Color or Hide, to apply to that selection of points.

Another useful tool is Navigate to Point, which zooms to a specified point number in your project.

In the Point Layout dialog, click Navigate to Point.

Enter the point number that you would like to zoom to, and then click OK.

The point is now selected in the drawing area.

You can also select a group of points using the Select Points tool with the desired filtering options.

The Delete Points tool allows you to remove specific points from your project.

Select one or more points, and then, from the Point Layout dialog, click Delete Points.

In the confirmation message, click OK.
