Perform a Scheduler simulation run, and learn how to interpret the results.

The InfoWater Pro Scheduler can assist in selecting cost-effective pumping policies to reduce operational costs and provide more reliable operations. Once the Input Data—Control Groups, Source Costs, Constraints, and Options are defined—the Scheduler optimization routine can be run.
While the Scheduler run is in progress, the status of the simulation is reported in the Simulation view.
During the trial progress, the Simulation view also displays the current pump scheduling costs and any violations of system constraints in the optimized solution.
The simulation is complete when the traffic light turns green.
The Message Board displays a message upon successful completion of the simulation, or any pertinent error messages. If the simulation run is unsuccessful, a message explains what needs to be corrected in the Input Data.
After completing a successful Scheduler run, the Output Report view is available:
The Control Schedule reports the simulation time and status of pump, valve, and pipe elements during the optimized schedule.
The maximum violation is the amount over the maximum allowed—for example, the max velocity for the simulation minus the specified max velocity constraint equals the max velocity violation. To limit violations, consider increasing the penalty weighting factors, as needed.
Cost breakdown and constraint violations can also be reviewed. Often, the results seen here are used to adjust the weighting in the Scheduler options before an optimization is performed again.
