What is the difference between BIM Collaborate and BIM Collaborate Pro?
BIM Collaborate is design collaboration and coordination software for project reviewers on AEC teams. BIM Collaborate helps you review the latest designs, provide timely feedback, and resolve clashes on building, plant, and civil infrastructure project documents.
BIM Collaborate Pro, previously BIM 360 Design, includes all BIM Collaborate features plus real-time co-authoring, and is for design authors who require anytime, anywhere co-authoring access in Revit, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
BIM Collaborate and BIM Collaborate Pro support projects created on both, the unified Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360 platforms.
Is BIM 360 Design still available? What is the difference between BIM 360 Design and BIM Collaborate Pro?
BIM Collaborate Pro is the next evolution of BIM 360 Design. If you are a current subscriber of BIM 360 Design, you’ll automatically receive access to all features of BIM Collaborate Pro. If you wish to collaborate on an ongoing BIM 360 project, simply subscribe to BIM Collaborate Pro.
Here’s what has been added to BIM Collaborate Pro:
Access to both, unified Autodesk Construction Cloud as well as BIM 360 platforms
Model Coordination, for automated clash detection and clash analysis workflows
Glue (along with Navisworks entitlement)
Insight, for advanced project analytics
On what platform is BIM Collaborate and BIM Collaborate Pro hosted?
BIM 360 offerings, such as BIM 360 Design and BIM 360 Docs, are hosted on the BIM 360 platform.
BIM Collaborate and BIM Collaborate Pro are built on the new unified Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) platform, which delivers deep product and workflow integrations between ACC products. Other offerings built on the unified platform include Autodesk Build and Autodesk Takeoff.
How do I stop auto-renewal or cancel my subscription?
Sign in to manage.autodesk.com, select Billing & Orders, click Edit Payment, and turn off auto-renew. Your subscription details will then list an expiration date instead of a renewal date. Your subscription remains active until the expiration date.
Where can I find out about user packs, primary storage on Europe datacenter, industry standard compliance, etc.?
Europe datacenter and ISO 19650 compliance are currently only available for BIM 360 projects; support for projects on the unified construction cloud is coming later. Read the full launch FAQ for both offerings on Autodesk Knowledge Network.
