Reviewing MEP systems

Reviewing existing duct and piping systems in Revit - Exercise

1. Open the practice file 001-Small Medical Center-Existing Systems.rvt. The model opens in a 3D view.
2. Zoom in on the left front of the building and check out the tankless hot water heater and its connectors as shown below. Identify the systems used with this mechanical equipment.
   
   
   
   
3. Open the 01 Ground Floor HVAC Plan.
4. Zoom in on the right side of the building where there are four air terminals.
5. Select the air terminals and create a duct system using the default name for the system, as shown below.
   
   
   
   
6. In the Project Browser, expand Families and review the existing Duct and Piping System families that are in the project.
7. Select the Duct System Family> Exhaust Duct. Right-click and select Type Properties….
8. Review the type properties of the system.
9. Select a piping system family and review the type properties of that system.
