How to invite a new user to create an account

00:10

User management on Flow Capture is entirely self directed,

00:13

which includes the ability to send invitations to

00:16

users who are brand new to the platform.

00:18

Admins can easily send invites through a simple process by the manage teams panel.

00:24

First log in to your Flow Capture account and then navigate to the administration

00:29

section on the left hand panel and then select the manage teams tab.

00:34

Next,

00:35

you'll want to click the new contact button which will bring up

00:38

a dialog box allowing you to enter the user's contact details.

00:42

Enter their first name,

00:46

last name,

00:48

and the email address they want to use for their account.

00:54

Then click Add.

00:57

It's important to note that at this point,

00:59

all you've done is add them as a contact

01:02

under the production that you're an admin for.

01:04

No invitations have gone out to the user as of yet.

01:09

Now that the user has been added as a contact,

01:11

you'll then need to add them to any folder within that production.

01:15

In order for them to get an email invite,

01:17

select the name,

01:19

click the assigned contact button,

01:21

and they'll be added to the folder selected

01:24

in the middle column with the viewer permission,

01:26

which is the lowest level of permission available on the platform.

01:33

Now that the user has been added to a folder under a live production,

01:37

they'll receive an email informing them of this,

01:40

and assuming they're a brand new user to Flow Capture,

01:42

they'll be prompted to create an account.

01:45

That's it.

01:46

This user has now been invited.

01:49

There are other ways of assigning users to folders that

01:51

will also send them an invitation to the platform

01:54

if they're brand new.

01:55

For more on those workflows,

01:57

please review the other videos related to being an admin.
