In this segment, I'd like to create a pier foundation schedule.

Jump into Revit.

I'm going to go back to my South elevation.

Now, I'm going to go to the View tab.

I'm going to go to Schedules.

I'm going to go to Schedules, Quantities.

Now, let's scroll down to Structural Foundations.

And for the name, let's call it Pier Foundation Schedule.

Let's click "OK".

Now, let's add some values.

I'm going to scroll down to Type Mark.

Select it, add it, and grab my Type.

Going to grab that CIP Concrete Volume, going to add that.

Let's find some piles. We can get pile information, which is really cool.

So, I'm going to scroll down to where it says Piles, going to go counts, longitudinal and traverse row.

I guess Pile Diameter, Pile Length.

Now, I'm going to go to my Sorting and Grouping tab.

I want to sort by type mark.

I want to make sure grand totals is turned on.

I want to go to my Formatting tab, grab CIP concrete volume.

Now let's go to our Field Format.

Uncheck "Use Project Settings".

Let's select cubic yards.

Creating a Pier Foundation Schedule

Now that we can create a pier schedule, obviously this one is basically going to be practice! In this segment, I’d like to create a Structural foundation schedule.

- Open the model you have been working in

- You can be in any view to do this, but let’s go to the South elevation view anyway

- On the View tab, click Schedules then select Schedules Quantities

  

- Scroll down to Structural Foundations

- For the Name, type in PIER FOUNDATION SCHEDULE

- Click OK

- Select the parameters in the left column, click the Add button and add the parameters shown below, in this order:

- Go to the Sorting/Grouping tab

- Sort by: Type Mark

- Check Grand Totals on

-  Go to the Formatting tab.

-  Select CIP concrete volume

-  Select Calculate totals:

 

-  With CIP concrete volume still selected, click the Field Format… button.

-  Uncheck Use project settings.

-  Change the units to Cubic yards.

-  Click OK

-  Click OK again. You now have a schedule calculating your concrete volumes.
