Creating a Pier Foundation Schedule
Now that we can create a pier schedule, obviously this one is basically going to be practice! In this segment, I’d like to create a Structural foundation schedule.
- Open the model you have been working in
- You can be in any view to do this, but let’s go to the South elevation view anyway
- On the View tab, click Schedules then select Schedules Quantities
- Scroll down to Structural Foundations
- For the Name, type in PIER FOUNDATION SCHEDULE
- Click OK
- Select the parameters in the left column, click the Add button and add the parameters shown below, in this order:
- Go to the Sorting/Grouping tab
- Sort by: Type Mark
- Check Grand Totals on
- Go to the Formatting tab.
- Select CIP concrete volume
- Select Calculate totals:
- With CIP concrete volume still selected, click the Field Format… button.
- Uncheck Use project settings.
- Change the units to Cubic yards.
- Click OK
- Click OK again. You now have a schedule calculating your concrete volumes.
