Creating lighting fixture families in Revit

Module overview

Look at several important features of what makes a powerful lighting fixture family, including shared parameters, model geometry and photometric files.

This content takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. By the end, you should be able to:

  • Add shared parameters to a face-based lighting fixture template.
  • Insert model geometry into a new lighting fixture family.
  • Apply the correct photometric IES file for the light source in the new lighting fixture family.
