At this point in our lesson, we've completely programmed our part and are ready to save NC Code and send it to the machine.

Just like in lesson 1, we've just ran a simulation.

We want to navigate to the NC Code tab, the results fly-out, verify the code that we've just created.

Make any hand edits if you'd like.

And once you're satisfied, select Save NC.

Select the directory you'd like to save to.

Remember to always have NC program checked, otherwise, you won't be getting your NC code, as well as any of the other options.

In this case, let's maybe include an operations list.

With those two selected, I'll hit "OK".

And we've successfully saved our NC Code and our Operations List to our specified directory.

You're now ready to go machine this part.

As you may recall, in the first lesson, we programmed a part from scratch using features from dimensions and features from curves.

And in this lesson, we imported a solid model and used FeatureCAM’s Feature Recognition to recognize 2.5D features from the solid model itself.

At this point, after following along with the videos and the text, I would strongly recommend that you go back and program both lesson 1 and lesson 2 on your own without the help of the videos.

Once you feel comfortable with everything covered in these first two lessons, feel free to move on to our third and final lesson of the FeatureCAM Standard milling course.
