00:03

In the Autodesk Construction Cloud, the Reviews tool facilitates and automates the distribution of project files to project members,

00:11

streamlining the feedback and approval process.

00:15

Using this tool, project administrators can create, edit, and manage approval workflows to enable the review process for project files.

00:25

To create an approval workflow, as a project administrator,

00:30

begin in the Autodesk Construction Cloud with your project open in Docs.

00:34

In the navigation panel, select Reviews, then click Settings.

00:41

Click Create approval workflow.

00:45

In the corresponding dialog, expand the drop-down to select an approval workflow template.

00:51

Here, you can choose a one- to six-step approval, or a two- to four-step group approval.

00:58

This selection determines the number of approval steps,

01:02

as well as whether a single review or a group of reviews is required to move from one step to the next.

01:08

In this example, select Three Step Approval.

01:12

As explained in the dialog, this workflow routes the files through two review steps and an approval step,

01:19

then allows you to choose a destination folder for the approved files.

01:24

Click Next.

01:26

On the Create an approval workflow form, first, type a Name, such as “Region Review”, and optionally, add a Description.

01:36

Click in the Initiator field.

01:39

Then, in the Select members dialog, choose one or multiple initiators to determine who can use this template to start a review.

01:49

Click Save.

01:51

Based on the template you chose, a Reviewer Type of Single reviewer indicates that only one reviewer needs to complete a review

01:58

before moving to the next step.

02:01

Click in the Reviewers field and select the reviewers for this step.

02:07

Click Save.

02:09

Next, in the Time allowed section, specify the length of time allowed for each step—in this case, 3 Calendar days.

02:18

Repeat these steps to set the reviewers and review time for your second review step and for your Approver step.

02:26

In the File review status section, you can set your status labels and icons—here, keep the defaults.

02:35

Next, in the Action upon completion section, determine what happens when files are approved.

02:42

In this example, select Copy approved files to.

02:46

Then, in the Select a folder dialog, navigate to the desired location.

02:53

Click OK.

02:56

Back on the Create an approval workflow form, click Save.

03:01
