Upload files to your project folders in Autodesk Construction Cloud and navigate file versions.

00:03

The Autodesk Construction Cloud allows you to easily add files to your project.

00:08

Additionally, you can edit some file types directly in the cloud, as well as view and navigate the version history for your files.

00:17

Begin with your project open in Autodesk Docs, with the Files tool selected.

00:22

When you select a project folder—in this case, Plan Sheets—its contents appear in the file list.

00:28

Here, you see that the folder is empty.

00:32

To upload content, click Upload files.

00:35

Alternatively, open Windows Explorer, select the desired files—in this case, several PDFs—then drag the files into the file list.

00:46

The Upload files window displays progress as the files upload in parallel.

00:51

Click Done to minimize the Upload files window as the upload process continues.

00:57

You do not have to wait for this process to complete to upload additional files.

01:02

Next, open the Photos folder, select the applicable image files in Windows Explorer, then drag them into the file list.

01:12

Click Done.

01:14

Finally, the Documents folder is opened and a Word doc is uploaded.

01:19

When you are done uploading files to your project, Close the Upload window.

01:24

Now, click one of the folders—for example, Plan Sheets—to view the contents of the folder.

01:31

To preview a file, click the file name, which acts as a link to open the file online.

01:37

The ACC platform has the capability of opening more than 100 industry-standard files that you may use with a project,

01:44

such as DWGs, PDFs, DGNs, Navisworks, Revit, and Microsoft Office files, as well as images and video.

01:56

You can find a full list of supported files in the Autodesk Docs help.

02:00

Once you open a file, you can use your mouse controls to pan and zoom.

02:05

This makes it easy for you to review plan sheets or content files.

02:10

There are also tools for measure, markup, and work assignments.

02:15

You can click the arrow button to go directly to the next page, or click the Thumbnail icon to easily select the sheet you want to view.

02:24

To close a file, click the X.

02:28

Next, open the Photo folder to see that you can easily view image files as well.

02:34

Then, in the Documents folder, select a document.

02:38

If you have access to Microsoft 365, then you can easily edit Word documents directly from the cloud by clicking Edit.

02:46

Any changes you make are autosaved.

02:49

When you are finished, click the file name in the top bar, then click Autodesk Docs to close the document and return to the Files tool.

02:58

In the Documents folder, the Version of the agenda document is updated to V2.

03:03

Every version of your document is saved in the cloud.

03:07

Click the version number to view the Version history.

03:11

In the Version history, click the More menu next to a version to make a prior version the current version.

03:17

You can also Download the source file or create a Copy.

03:22

Close the version history.

03:24

Selecting a file always opens the most recent version, but if you open this file again,

03:29

notice that you can expand the version drop-down and select a different version.

03:34

In this case, select V1 to view the prior version, and an icon appears next to the filename indicating that this is not the current version.

03:43
