Create markups in Autodesk Docs files

Create, style, and publish markups in several file formats straight from Autodesk Docs.

00:03

In Autodesk Docs within the ACC, project members can create, edit,

00:08

and delete the markups they created on sheets on web or mobile.

00:13

Only project members with Create permissions or above can publish markups to allow all project members to view them.

00:21

After logging into Autodesk Construction Cloud from your web browser, from the Docs Files page, select a file to mark up.

00:29

You can create and edit markups on PDF, PNG, JPG, JPEG files, and any 2D elements contained in DWG and RVT files.

00:43

With the file open, you can zoom and pan using your mouse wheel.

00:47

From the Markups toolbar, you can access standard markups, feature markups,

00:53

and quick styling tools, which can be used on files that support markups.

00:59

Select Cloud, and then, on the file, click and drag to create a cloud-shaped markup.

01:07

Once created, use the grips to resize the cloud markup.

01:11

To adjust the color of a placed markup, from the Markups toolbar, select Border Color.

01:18

From the flyout, select a different color.

01:21

Markups can be published, meaning they are viewable by anyone who views the file.

01:27

Or, markups can remain unpublished and only viewable by the creator.

01:33

To publish a markup, select it, and then, from the tools that appear, select Publish.

01:40

Be aware that all markup types will also persist through file versions.

01:46

For example, if you create markups on version 1, they will also display on version 2.
