Hey guys, it's Bryce here with yet another Fusion 360 quick tip.
00:07
This week we will cover some tips with multi-sheet drawings.
00:10
We can start by adding a sheet by hitting the Plus button at the bottom of Fusion 360.
00:15
Next, let's rename the drawing.
00:17
Notice that the Sheet Page and Sheet Total are automatically tracked in the title block.
00:22
Now, I want to create a drawing of just one component in this design.
00:26
But this design is made of multiple components.
00:29
Let's create a Base view.
00:31
Notice that for the reference, I'm going to choose Create New.
00:34
This will create a new reference in the browser.
00:37
We can have multiple references in the browser to control the visibility and suppression of components
00:42
independently in different Views and Parts lists on the same sheet.
00:47
All the components in this design are previewed in the view.
00:50
In the browser, we get two options for every component.
00:53
We can use the check box to suppress the components.
00:56
This will remove the component from the parts list, and hides it from the view.
01:00
Alternatively, we can use the light bulb next to the component.
01:04
This will remove the component from the view, but it will remain in the associated parts list.
01:09
In this case, we just want to create a drawing for the bottom plate component,
01:13
so we can select the component and choose Suppress All Except Selected.
01:17
Make sure to use the browser in conjunction with multi-sheet drawings to get the correct components in the Views and Parts lists.
01:25
Now, the last time I created a new sheet, I hit the Plus button.
01:29
Doing this will use the same template as the active sheet.
01:32
This time, I will right-click and select Add Sheet.
01:35
This will allow me to choose a different template to use for this next sheet.
01:40
Once the sheet is created, we can reorder the sheets by simply clicking and dragging the sheets in the Drawing Sheet pane
01:45
at the bottom.
01:46
Now, here's the last multi-sheet tip: Let's say I want to start with the same three sheets for every drawing.
01:52
I can lay out these sheets with varying title blocks and sheet sizes.
01:57
Then, save them as a template.
01:59
Next time you create a drawing, reference this new template and start with a new multi-sheet drawing
02:04
the way your company lays out your drawings.
02:07
Well, that is a quick tip for this week. Until next time.
