In Revit, the precast tools provide an easy way to create 3D structural models from which shop drawings and CAM files are created.
00:15
Once a wall or slab has been split into precast assemblies,
00:19
you can add reinforcement for either element by using commands in the Reinforcement panel.
00:26
From the File ribbon, click Open > Project.
00:31
Navigate to the desired RVT file and then open it.
00:36
To add area and edge reinforcement to a previously split wall assembly, first select it in the drawing.
00:45
Optionally, you can choose to isolate only the selected assembly.
00:50
From the View Control Bar, click Temporary Hide/Isolate > Isolate Element.
00:58
Then, from the Precast ribbon, Reinforcement panel, click Reinforcement.
01:06
Select the walls to add reinforcement to, and in the options bar, click Finish.
01:13
The Wall Properties dialog opens.
01:16
Specify the Area Reinforcement Type and Edge Reinforcement Type in the respective drop-downs.
