Transcript
00:03
In the ReCap Mesh Editor, you can use the Model Browser to view and manage all the model data contained within your project.
00:12
The Model Browser is divided into Unclassified and Classified sections.
00:17
When you first create a mesh from a point cloud, unclassified mesh tiles are loaded into the view.
00:24
Select one or more groups or tiles, and then click Load or Unload in the Model Browser toolbar,
00:32
or use the hotkeys CTRL+L and CTRL+U respectively, to add or remove the selection from the view.
00:39
When an object is loaded, you can also toggle its visibility on and off by clicking the Eye icon.
00:47
From the toolbar, click Tile Selection, or use the hotkey SHIFT+T, to load unclassified mesh tiles by their extents in the model view.
00:57
Click on a tile to select it, and then click Load or Unload.
01:02
This option is useful when working with data containing multiple tiles.
01:07
Click Tile Selection again to return to 3D selection.
01:12
Note that the Delete option is irreversible, so you should be cautious when using it.
01:19
You can also access the same toolbar functions from the context menu by right-clicking.
01:25
This menu also includes a Rename option.
01:30
You can change the size of the Unclassified and Classified sections in the Model Browser by dragging the bar between the sections.
01:38
In the Classified section, your aim is to manually classify the segmented mesh model.
01:44
This is done by moving data from the tiles into a hierarchy of groups and layers that you create.
01:51
To create each group, click Add Group, or use the hotkey ALT+SHIFT+N, and then enter a name.
02:00
For example, you might group data by levels, such as this third floor of an office, or you could create a group of all furniture layers.
02:09
Within each group, click Add Layer, or use the hotkey SHIFT+N,
02:15
to create individual layers, which are automatically added to the classification hierarchy.
02:20
Layers are represented by a diamond icon and are automatically given a color.
02:26
You can change the color using the color picker.
02:31
Here, a few more layers are added to show that they can be loaded and unloaded just like the unclassified tiles.
02:38
When unloaded, the color changes to a small square, and you lose the target layer and visibility icons.
02:46
Press and hold CTRL to select multiple layers or hold SHIFT to select a range.
02:52
As with the tiles, you can toggle the visibility of these layers on and off with the Eye icon.
