In the Drawing workspace, there are several ways to adjust preferences and settings
00:08
to determine the appearance of your drawings.
00:11
You can set default preferences that apply to all new drawings and sheets.
00:17
You can also adjust the settings for a specific drawing or for an individual sheet.
00:23
Defining these preferences and settings in advance
00:27
helps to ensure that your drawings and sheets remain consistent and meet your requirements.
00:32
Begin with your project open in the Drawing workspace.
00:36
On the Application bar, click My Profile > Preferences.
00:41
In the Preferences dialog, expand General, and then select Drawing.
00:47
Here, you can review and adjust preferences for drawings created From Scratch.
00:53
Preferences set here apply to all drawings and sheets that you create.
00:58
For example, you can set the Standard to be inherited from the design, or select ISO or ASME.
01:06
You can set the drawing Units to inches, the Sheet Size to B Landscape, and the Delimiter to Decimal.

selecting this option enables you to edit the fields below, while deselecting it restores the default values.
01:27
With the Override enabled, you can include or exclude Mesh and Surface Bodies,
01:32
set a Projection Angle to First or Third Angle, as well as adjust the Text Height group, Font, and other preferences.

01:46
and deselect the Override feature to restore the defaults.
01:50

01:58
By default, line widths are all the same within a drawing,
02:02
but when you enable this feature, you now see varied line widths.

Click the Hatch tab to modify Hatch settings,
02:51
and click Tables to specify the line widths and colors for tables.
02:56

03:01
Similarly, you can switch to the Symbols, Default Drawing Views,
03:07
and Automated Drawing Creation tabs to adjust the corresponding settings.
03:12
