Subscription and software management

How to use Autodesk account to manage subscriptions and assign software.

Within your Autodesk account, you can access your products and services as a user.

Contract managers and software coordinators also have extra capabilities in Autodesk account,

A user is anyone who has a registered account with Autodesk.

Users cannot assign software or services to themselves,

but they can view, download, and use software that has been assigned to them. Users can also view their

cloud server usage and remaining cloud credits.

A contract manager is the main point of contact for Autodesk software.

As such, they receive any e-mail communications from Autodesk, can assign, remove, and reassign software to users,

and can manage the contracts for the account.

A software coordinator has the same rights as a contract manager, except that they cannot amend contracts themselves.

To access your account, go to manage.autodesk.com and enter the login details you used to first create your account.

If you do not have an account, you can sign up for one here as well.

After signing in, you can see the navigation menu on the left.

Products and Services allows you to access and download software that has been assigned to you.

User Management is only visible to contract managers or software coordinators,

and is used to assign, reassign, remove, or edit users and their software and services access rights.

Billing and Orders is only visible to the contract manager to access and edit subscriptions,

and to view any upcoming payments and your order history.

Reporting enables any user to view insights and usage details.

You can also see your token usage for tasks requiring tokens, such as rendering, simulation, or generative design.

Under User Management, the contract manager or software coordinator has options to assign users and products.

To invite a user, select By User and then click Invite Users.

In the Invite users dialog, enter the first and last name and e-mail address,

which must be the same e-mail used to log into the Autodesk account.

You can then opt to assign the user to a group.

If you have multiple users to invite, you can click the Import tab and upload a CSV file

with the proper format, as shown in the Import instructions.

Once you send the invitations, you see the users populating the user list.

If you manage multiple teams, you can select them from the Team dropdown.

To assign or unassign software, click the View Details arrow to the right of the user’s information.

On the User page, you can remove the user, change the user’s role, and edit any assigned groups.

Under product access, you will see any products assigned to the user, as well as the unassigned products with available seats.

To assign software, click Assign to the right of the selected software.

In this example, the user has no assigned software.

Click Assign for Fusion – Legacy 2024 to assign a seat to the user and reduce the number of seats available.

Once the software has been assigned, in the navigation menu, select All Products and Services to download and install Fusion.

First, find the Fusion product tile in your list, then click Download.

Download the installer and follow the prompts to install Fusion on your machine.

Once installed, use the same credentials used to log into your account to access and start using Fusion.
