Description
You may have heard that an airport is like a small city. Implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) at this scale can quickly get complicated; what's possible and what's practical don't necessarily align. In this class we'll look at some special considerations for airports, ways in which to scope an implementation, and ways in which to use Autodesk, Inc., software systems (such as InfraWorks software, Revit software, and AutoCAD Civil 3D software). We'll also take a look at effective practices, and we'll discuss lessons learned from some specific large-scale BIM programs involving airports.
Key Learnings
- Understand the scope of a BIM implementation for an airport
- Develop a strategy to successfully execute BIM for large complex programs
- Learn how to use current technology to realize maximum value for stakeholders
- Discover effective practices from large-scale BIM implementations
