Account management basics

Change payment method

Payment options for auto-renewing subscriptions include credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer (ACH, BACS, or SEPA). You can’t edit or delete an existing payment method. Instead, depending on the payment method, you can add a new method and select it as the default payment method, or cancel the subscription, and repurchase with the new method.

Change the payment method

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. In Billing and Orders > Subscriptions and Contracts, select a product to open the subscription details.
  3. In the Payment section, click Edit.
Note: If you see a Manage button, see the next procedure: Change payment method by order number.
  4. Enter the new payment information and click Save.

Troubleshoot payment errors

If you get an error while processing a payment in Autodesk Account, verify the following:

  • Card number and expiration date—For security reasons, you can’t view or edit existing card information. If you entered the wrong card information or your card has expired, select Add Card to enter the card information again as a new payment method. Verify that the card number and expiration date are correct.
  • Name and billing address—Verify that the name and billing address match the address on record with your payment provider.
  • Purchase limits—Some banks place a limit on how much you can spend on an individual purchase or in a single day. Even if the funds are available, your bank may not authorize the charge. If so, call your bank. Ask the bank to authorize the charge or get information about their online purchase policies.
